Yesterday Steve and I headed to DUMBO in between rain storms to check out some stores and see the sights. Steve led me to the most amazing chocolate shop called Jacques Torres. MMMMMMMMMM it was heaven on a stick! Then we went to Jocelyn's for a bbq. While everyone was grilling and hanging out at the skybar (on the roof), I helped out by vegging on the couch and watching TV. I'm here to help! Here are some pictures.......

Procrastination and Polariods
It's my summer vacation and I'm not working. I know what you all are thinking, teacher's are so lucky because they get the summers off. Well for a certain teacher who is in grad school and did not do her course work during the semester, so she has to write 4 papers by June 30th, life doesn't feel so lucky. If only I could get my work done, but my ADD pulls me in every direction and my procrastination tactics are at an all time high. I mean I started this blog to avoid writing papers.
In an effort to avoid my school work I have been thinking of different projects to do this summer. I like doing crafty artsy things. I was looking around my apartment the other day and I found some old polariod land cameras I got a while ago. They are really fun and use the old peel off film. So, I ordered some film from B & H and it arrived today. I'm so excited to start taking some polariods. But first, I need to write those damn papers.

Summer Vacation - teachers let your hair down
So, for a while now, I've been thinking about starting a blog. I'm not really sure why. I mean, I'm a preschool teacher and I'm in grad school; my life isn't all that exciting. At least it isn't when school is in session and I have to be at work at 8 am. Now summer is finally here and I have some free time to hang out and let loose.
Most of my friends would consider me as somewhat of a home body. I would have to say that's true. I really enjoy sitting at home, in my new apt, lounging around in my comfy pants and watching stupid reality shows. Last night I decided to venture out of my apt to go see a Morningwood concert. It was only around the corner from my house, so how could I stay home. Little did I know that my wild side would peak it's way out. This preschool teacher was rocking out like a bad ass. I even had the lead singer sign my chest. In my boyfriend words, "I had a stellar performance." I'm not sure what came over me, but I definetly know that summer is here and I can let loose. I hope this is a sign of more fun to come. So to mark this momentous occassion, I am starting this blog. I was also inspired by Jocelyn's kick ass blog (http://www.pixxiestails.com/). She posted some awesome pics from last night's amazing show.
Here is one of my favorite of Jocelyn's pictures from last night. I'm such a bad ass - I think.
